Oxford Police Seize Guns And Drugs

On Friday October 16th, 2015 at approximately 10:38 PM officers with the Oxford Police Department stopped a 2002 White Ford F-150 traveling South on South 18th street for driving with no headlights on. When officers approached the driver, Michael Frieson 34 of Oxford, they notified him of why they stopped him and then checked his driver’s license which came back suspended for failing to attend court on two separate occasions. Officers asked Frieson to step out of the vehicle and as he was doing so they asked Frieson if he had been smoking marijuana due to the odor of marijuana coming from his vehicle. Frieson responded that he did smoke earlier in the day. Once officers placed him in custody for suspended driver’s license they began a search incident to arrest. During the search they found 180 grams of Marijuana, 22.3 grams of crack cocaine & $3,648 & an AA Arms Tec 9 firearm. Frieson has been charged, bond has not been set yet.
