Oxford Woman Charged With Forgery

(OXFORD, MS) (WCBI) It’s tough to cash a twenty dollar check without proper identification so the fact that an Oxford woman is jailed after trying to cash a nearly half million dollar check that wasn’t hers should not be a surprise.

Oxford Police have charged 27 year old Candace Malone with one count of uttering a forgery after she tried to cash a 450 thousand dollar check belonging to someone else.  Malone is being held on a 5000 dollar bond.
