Parvin Ordered Back To Jail

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)-Former Mississippi State University Professor Dr. David Parvin has been ordered back to jail. Last Wednesday Circuit court Judge Paul Funderburk revoked the 75-thousand dollar bond for Parvin and ordered he be detained in the Monroe County Jail after Parvin’s legal team reportedly raised alarms about his mental health and sought out psychiatric help. The Judge wrote that Parvin constitutes a danger to himself and/or others. Parvin was convicted in the 2007 shooting death of his wife Joyce in their Aberdeen home. He was recently released after the state’s highest court agreed that sufficient errors at his trial required a new examination of the evidence. Parvin claims he tripped in his house accidentally discharging his rifle and killing his wife.
