Pedestrian Killed In Car Accident

MHP responded to a fatal accident involving a pedestrian Saturday morning around 4:38 AM on
MS Hwy 25 in Oktibbeha County at the intersection of Old Hwy 25..
64 year old, Roosevelt Taylor, Jr. of Starkville Mississippi was walking in the northbound lane
of MS 25 and was struck by a white, 2002 Chevrolet Impala.
The driver of the Chevrolet, 33 year old Raven A. Henton of Louisville left the scene of the
accident in a private vehicle; she was located a short time later by Starkville Police Department
and detained for further questioning by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
Mr. Taylor died on scene due to injuries sustained during the collision.
