Pedestrian Killed in Early Morning Crash

LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Mississippi state troopers are investigating an early morning crash that killed a pedestrian in Lee County.

Troopers were dispatched near the MS 371 exit around midnight, after 22-year-old Corbyn Maddox was hit by a truck while walking in the west bound lane of US 78.

They say right now they don’t plan to file any criminal charges on the driver of the truck that hit Maddox.

MHP isn’t sure why Maddox was walking in the road.

They’re still investigating the crash.
