Video: Two In Custody After Car Chase And Manhunt

PICKENS COUNTY, Ala. (WCBI) – Two people are in custody after a traffic stop in Columbus turns into a manhunt in west Alabama on Monday afternoon.

Lowndes County Chief Deputy Marc Miley says deputies attempted to stop a car that was reported stolen in Gordo on Sunday night.

The driver took off and led them on a chase onto Eagle Road in Pickens County where a helicopter and search dogs were being used to find the suspects.

Gordo Police Chief Todd Hall confirms the stolen car crashed.

Law enforcement set up a search grid to capture the driver, about 4:30 P.M.

The unidentified duo is expected to face charges in Lowndes County and in Gordo.
