Pittsboro Aldermen Approve Liquor Ordinance

PITTSBORO, Miss. (WCBI) – Although Pittsboro will not be able to allow beer sales in the city, aldermen Monday night approved the town’s liquor ordinance.

The board was informed by the state the town would not be able to allow beer sales due to conflicts with state statute.

However, aldermen did move forward by approving a liquor ordinance which has been in the works since last week.

Board Attorney Ben Suber last week told WCBI the board had discussed what exactly they wanted in the ordinances, but did not officially adopt them.

Aldermen adopted all state regulations for liquor sales in the city.
