Video: Plane Veers Off GTRA Runway

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A plane went off the runway late Tuesday afternoon at the Golden Triangle Regional Airport.

The single-engine Piper Cherokee was landing when it lost directional control about 4 P.M.

GTR Airport Executive Director Mike Hainsey says one person was onboard but was not hurt.

The plane did receive minor damage.

The airport runway was shut down about 20 minutes while crews removed the plane.
