Police Search for Hit and Run Suspect

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Tupelo police are searching for a car that was involved in a hit and run near Pierce Street Elementary.

Surveillance videos show a man walking away from his car on Varsity Drive, when he was hit by a small or mid-sized dark- colored vehicle. The man was dragged around fifty or seventy-five feet. Afterwards the driver turned around heading east. The man is in stable conditon and has no life threatening injuries.

The car is believed to have damage to the right front and possibly the windshield.

Police are still reviewing the video for any possible leads.
