OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI)-Concern over limited parking in downtown Oxford especially on game days has a vote to increase fees for parking violations on the table. Oxford aldermen will vote August 20th on the proposal which would raise first-time ticket fines from the current $10 to $50 on game days only. And it would raise penalties for second and third violations to $75 and $100 dollars. On-campus parking would only be allocated to students who live in campus housing, to donors and longtime season-ticket holders. Both the city and the university have added more off-campus parking locations and shuttle services.
