Prentiss Co. Men Behind Bars on Separate Charges

PRENTISS CO., Miss. – (WCBI) Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department deputies arrested 25-year-old Booneville man Ryan Clay Tuesday for failing to register as a sex offender. Clay also had a warrant out for his arrest in Tennessee, and will be extradited accordingly.

Deputies also arrested 32-year-old Belmont man Eric Shane Wednesday for failing to pull over for a traffic stop. Shane led authorities to a residence off County Road 5481, where deputies arrested him. Deputies discovered three loaded firearms in Shane’s vehicle.

He was charged with several violations, including possession of a firearm by a convicted felony, failure to stop and careless driving.

Shane’s bond was set at $2,500 on the misdemeanor charges. Bond on his felony charge will be set after his initial court appearance.
