Prentiss County Husband And Wife Charged With Kidnapping

BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A Prentiss County husband and wife are accused of kidnapping a man, who managed to escape.

Keith Allen Dotson, 29, and Alicia Denise Dotson, 46, are charged with kidnapping.

Prentiss County Sheriff Randy Tolar says the incident started March 1. That’s when Corinth police notified the sheriff’s department about the crime.

Tolar says the unidentified victim was tied up but managed to escape at a Corinth store.

Investigators say the kidnapped man didn’t know the Dotsons.

The husband and wife duo was arrested Monday in Prentiss County. Tolar says evidence found inside their home links them to the crime.

They were identified early on as suspects and had been under surveillance, according to Tolar.

The Dotsons remain in custody. Other charges are possible in Prentiss County and in Corinth.

If convicted, kidnapping carries a maximum of life in prison.

The victim was treated for his injuries.
