Prentiss Man on Run Following Pursuit in Prentiss County

PRENISS COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — After a short pursuit, 24-year-old Anthony Perry of Prentiss County earns his place on the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) wanted list.

According to a press release provided by the PCSO, Prentiss deputy reported he was pursuing an individual wanted from another jurisdiction at about 7 p.m. April 25. Later in the pursuit, the suspect lost control of his vehicle and abandoned it.

Deputies phoned in assistance from the Booneville Police Department as they searched for the suspect in nearby woods, but could not find him.

Reports came in about 9 p.m. that same evening about a young white male breaking into houses in the area. A several residents reportedly confronted the man, but he managed to flee. No injuries were reported.

The press release says a 1991 black S10 pickup truck was reported stolen south of Booneville, but does not indicate Perry is suspected of stealing it.

Perry is 5-foot-5-inches in height and weighs between 120-130 pounds. He has short brown hair and blue eyes.
