COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)-Wednesday (10-3) at 12:40pm students paint the town…literally. Illustrative MUW art students were invited out by the city’s parks and recreation department to paint the Propst skate park. Then they split into teams and took on the park. Students graffitied  skateboard designs using idioms as a concept.

One of the students, Sarah Beth Barrett said,

“Instead of being in the classroom we are just moving out of it, and kind of getting in the field of the community and try to express ourself in a different way than just on a piece of paper with a pencil.”

Roll paint, spray paint, markers, and other material were used to create a new fun place for kids to go.
