PSC Fines Active Periodicals, Inc. $25,000 for No Call Violations

JACKSON, Miss. (Press Release) — Following today’s monthly open meeting of the Public Service Commission, Northern District Commissioner Brandon Presley announced that the PSC has imposed civil penalties totaling $25,000 against Active Periodicals, Inc. for five violations of the state’s No Call law.

In the Commission Complaint, the company was accused of making unauthorized telephone solicitations and failing to register with the PSC as a telephone solicitor. After proceedings on the matter, it was determined that the Commission was entitled to judgment as a matter of law, and summary judgment in the Commission’s favor was granted.
