Purchase of Apartment Complex Approved by Tupelo Council

TUPLEO, Miss. (WCBI) – Tupelo City Council voted and approved the purchase 7.8 acres of land at their Tuesday council meeting.

The land is located at the Azalea Gardens apartments.

In March, the council decided to continue talks with Ida Street property about obtaining the site. The location has been a crime area for years and has been a safety concern for the city.

There has been no statement released on what the city plans to do with the area.
