Rangers Discover Homicide Victim on the Natchez Trace Parkway

LEAKE COUNTY, Miss. (Press Release) — The Leake County Sheriff’s Department and the Natchez Trace Parkway, with assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, are investigating the death of Courtney Cooke of Leake County.

Rangers discovered Cooke’s body this morning in a vehicle off the roadway near milepost 143 along the Natchez Trace Parkway.

Cooke, 27, has been identified as the victim of a homicide.
