Renasant Robber Caught In Georgia

West Point, MS, Monday, September 21, 2015: The alleged robber that has been sought in the July 27, 2015 robbery of the Renasant Bank in West Point has been taken into custody. The West Point Police Department was notified by the U.S. Marshall’s Service that 23 year old Titus Lamb was arrested Saturday in Atlanta, Ga. and is being held in a correctional facility in that city.

The West Point Police Department did not elaborate on any of the particulars associated with the arrest; where he was when he was taken into custody or whether or not he was arrested without incident. According to Chief Tim Brinkley, “We’re just glad he’s behind bars. An extradition hearing has been set for later this week. After which we expect to transport him back to West Point to start the adjudication process.”

Within days after the robbery police identified Lamb as the prime suspect and solicited the assistance of the Marshall’s Service in locating him when local authorities learned he was possibly in the Atlanta area. West Point Police are still investigating this case to determine if other parties were involved or aided in the commission of this crime. Anyone with information is asked to call Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers or the West Point Police Department at 494-1244.
