Video: Residents Form Petition After Service Dog Labeled “Dangerous”

ITAWAMBA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- Some residents are outraged after a local service dog is labeled “dangerous” in an Itawamba County Court.

Several viewers commented on commented on www.wcbi.com, saying they were concerned that the owner of a service dog would have to register the dog as dangerous.

Some want the ordinance changed, and now a petition created on www.ipetition.com, has generated more than a thousand signatures.

Supporters hope to take the petition to court on June 11th to appeal the ruling.

There’s also a Facebook page called “Save Walter,” that has over 1,000 “likes.”
