Assistant Principal Audra Rester as the new Oxford Middle School principal.

She will begin in her new position during the 2015-2016 school year. Jeff Clay, who is presently the Oxford Middle School principal, was promoted recently to Secondary Curriculum Coordinator and District Test Coordinator, a district-level position he will begin in the upcoming school year.

Rester joined the Oxford School District during the 2014-2015 school year as an assistant principal.

Prior to coming to the Oxford School District, she was principal at Petal Upper Elementary School in

the Petal School District. She has been working in education since 1994 and holds a bachelor’s degree

in English from the University of Mississippi and a master’s degree in educational leadership from the

University of Southern Mississippi.

“I am excited about Mrs. Rester’s leadership and her ability to move Oxford Middle School forward,”

said OSD Superintendent Brian Harvey. “Her compassion for students and her expectation of

excellence make her the perfect choice as principal.”

She is married to Eddie Rester and together they have two children, Sydney and Ann Claire, who are

enrolled in the Oxford School District.
