TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI)- ‘Revive Tupelo’ is a movement that is steadily growing throughout Tupelo.

The movement has been in Tupelo for a little over a year now.

This week the movement is having “Outreach Week’ where participants are going out and introducing the community to Jesus.

“There’s no better high, than seeing somebody turn to Christ,” Founder of Time to Revive Kyle Lance Martin said.

Kyle Martin is the founder of Time to Revive, and he says getting local churches together to effectively impact the community is what  ‘Revive Tupelo’ is all about.

“Just this morning We go to interact with two people outside of a law firm who had never heard about the gospel before, never read through the gospel, and by the end of our time praying and sharing Jesus they said, I want that,” Martin said.

Once a month, ‘Revive Tupelo’ rallies hundreds of people together from all races and denominations to come together to help spread the word of Jesus to lost and hurting souls.

“What happens is, when you learn to go out and share your faith, people then come into your city, and then you want to take it to the next city, and to the next.  It’s like hometown missionaries,” Instigator for ‘Revive Tupelo’ Lela Payne said.

The movement goes out into neighborhoods in Tupelo and surrounding areas to witness to their community through prayer and spreading love.

“It’s incredible what we’re seeing on the streets when we go and share.  It’s incredible to see how open people are because we just approach you with a simple  question, How can I pray for you? God sent me here to pray for you, how can I pray for you,” Pastor of The Anchor Church David Ball said.

People from all 50 states and even different countries have come to Tupelo to converge in this movement.

The main goal for this movement is simple, bringing everyone together as one.

“We love to work with the black church, the white church, the charismatic and the conservative, now they freaks some people out, but I’m telling you, when we begin to be like one body, like God intended it, then someone might actually want what we have, which is Christ,” Martin said.

The OutReach program will continue all week.  For a full list of times and locations where events will be taking place, visit their website at www.reviveTUPELO.org
