Ripley Bank Adds To Board

RIPLEY, Mississippi — Brian Ketchum, P.E., principal owner in Environmental Compliance and Safety Inc. (ECS), has been named to The Peoples Bank board of directors. The Peoples Bank Chairman Bobby Martin said, “Peoples Bank is very pleased to have Brian as a board member. We know that with the success he’s had with his business he will bring a great perspective to the board.”

Ketchum has been working in the environmental and safety field for 25 years. He began his career in 1992 with the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), where he became a branch chief before leaving to become a corporate environmental health and safety manager and later plant manager for a chemical manufacturing company. He started ECS with Kirk Shelton of Ripley in 2002.

He graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Mississippi State University in 1992, and later received a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Mississippi. He has been a registered professional engineer in Mississippi since 1997, and is also currently registered in Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, Kentucky, Louisiana and Florida. He is a member of Community Development Foundation (CDF), Mississippi Manufacturers Association (MMA), Professional Engineering Societies (MES and NPES), Mississippi Petroleum Marketers Association and Convenience Stores Association, and a member of the board of directors of the Air & Waste Management Association (AWMA).

Ketchum has been married to Liz Rolison of Ripley for over 20 years, and they have two girls. They reside in Ripley, and he is an active deacon at First Baptist Church.
