Video: Road Worker Hit by Car

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Lowndes County Road Management worker is taken to the hospital after a brush with a car.

Shortly before 8:00a.m. Wednesday morning 911 dispatch received a call of a man hit by a car. Upon arrival Lowndes County sheriff deputies found a 54 year old white male lying in a ditch on the side of Cal-Kolola Road.

An elderly female driver was driving west bound in a golden Mercury Grand Marquis when she didn’t notice a flagman flagging her to stop and hit the man. The flagman was taken to Baptist Golden Triangle after suffering heavy bruising and abrasions in the accident.

Lowndes County Deputys say, no charges are expected to be filed.
