Saltillo Man Charged With DUI Death

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A Saltillo man is accused of hitting and killing pedestrian earlier this year.

James Holder, 29, is charged with one count of DUI Death and one count of DUI Maiming after being indicted by a Lee County grand jury.

Gary Wayne Gilmore died after being hit on April 10th on North Gloster Street.

Another person was seriously injured from a head-on collision after Gilmore was struck.

Tupelo police say Holder had been drinking.

Holder was also injured and in a medically induced coma for several weeks.

His bond was set at $175,000.
