Scott Stricklin Visits EMCC

MAYHEW, Miss. (WCBI) – East Mississippi Community College can be a perfect fit for students who hope to develop marketable skills or end up at a 4 year institution.

Friday (8-23), EMCC student ambassadors got a lesson in recruiting from Mississippi State Athletic Director Scott Stricklin.

He spoke at the Golden Triangle Campus and gave the ambassadors helpful tips on how to recruit new students to EMCC.

Ambassador Cole Newman said, “I’ve always set high goals, and that’s what he was saying doing. Shoot for the stars, and if you fall short, it’s still pretty good.”

Ambassador Macie Owen chipped in, “He was really motivating and I got to hang out with my new friends. That’s been nice meeting with a lot of these new ladies and some of the guys.”

The retreat is a great way for new ambassadors to meet each other and go over priorities for the upcoming school year.
