Search Continues For AD Job Position

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — The search continues for the next Athletic Director at the Mississippi University for Women.

The search committee met with candidate Jason Turfant, who has spent three years as the Senior Associate Director of Dowling College in Long Island, New York.

Turfant said he is “energetic, passionate about the division, passionate about the university itself. I am a student athlete, I am a coach, I am an administrator…I bring that experience and wealth of knowledge, and community commitment…I will be the face in the community that they see.”

Committee members say they hope to have a candidate chosen by early summer.
