TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Gov. Phil Bryant appointed Tupelo Mayor Jason Shelton to the Council of Mayors.
The council is made up of nine mayors from across the state that share local issues and concerns with our leaders in Jackson. It is an opportunity to open discussion on how to improve communities, cities and towns across the state.
A main concern for them is the quality of life in Miss. and the growth of the job market in the state. They are trying to work together to find ways to keep Mississippians working in-state instead of leaving to find employment.
