Shooting Suspect in Custody

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A man wanted in connection with a Tuesday night shooting in Starkville has turned himself in to police.

According to Captain Frank Nichols of the Starkville Police Department 20-year-old Dennis Thompson turned himself in around 6:00pm Wednesday.

Police had been searching for Thompson since the shooting at a mobile home in the Yellowjacket Trailer Park on Louisville Street Tuesday.

The details surrounding the shooting, including whether anyone was hurt, have not been released.

Thompson was out on bond for murder in connection with a 2010 graduation night shooting. He is charged with killing 25-year-old Curtis Randle and wounding three other people.

Thompson is now facing aggravated assault charges in the Tuesday shooting and is being held on $100,000 bond.
