Silver Alert Cancelled, Water Valley Woman Found

Water Valley, Miss. (WCBI) – The Yalobusha County woman with Alzheimer’s that went missing for nearly 24 hours has been found.

The sheriff’s department says Betty Ruth Dorris, 81, was spotted by a Mississippi Army National Guard helicopter Friday, in a heavily wooded area on a field road.

Dorris was alert and talking when she was located by rescuers.

A Silver Alert was issued Thursday evening after she went missing earlier in the day, just west of Water Valley.
