Smithville Board Approves Government Complex Plan

SMITHVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – They won’t be getting everything on their wish list, but it will be close.

Tuesday night, with a 4-to-1 vote, the Smithville Board of Alderman approved a slightly scaled back plan for that city’s new Government Complex.

That plan will meet Smithville’s $660,000 budget.

Smithville City Attorney Sam Griffie will now have to thoroughly review all the contracts.

That process should take about a week.

FEMA and MEMA must then approve the plan before work can begin.
