Video: Starkville Academy D.A.R.E Graduation

STARKVILLE, Miss. – (WCBI)  Some Starkville area elementary school children are learning to make good choices when confronted with difficult decisions in life, especially when it comes to alcohol and drug use and abuse.

During a D.A.R.E graduation today [Friday] at Starkville Academy, and of course D.A.R.E stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education. Students were given a certificate of recognition for their hard work.

Students, who had nothing good to say about drugs, vowed to say no.

“Not good, keep your hands off of them. And just stay away from them,” said Taylor Arnold, Starkville Academy.

“I would just try to stay away from them and stay away from the people who is trying to get me to get them,” said Howell Archer, DARE Graduate.

Founded is 1983, D.A.R.E students who enter the program sign a pledge not to use drugs or join gangs.
