Video: Starkville Bonds Approved

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Starkville now has the money in place to finish infrastructure improvements across the city.

Starkville aldermen issued $2.7 million in bonds on Thursday.

The money will be used for multiple street overlays and drainage work throughout town.

Mayor Parker Wiseman says sidewalk work will also be done on Russell and Louisville Streets.

Some of the projects have already started.

Starkville leaders have three years to spend the money.

The interest rate on the bonds is 2.89%.
