STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – It’s National Dance Day and the Starkville community came together to celebrate in a big way.
KMG Creations hosted the 6th annual Dancing in the Park Saturday at McKee Park.

The event promotes healthy living through dancing for all ages.

Several dancers were on hand for the day, incorporating various dance styles.

The event is free and open to the public.

Organizers say it’s a way to celebrate National Dance Day with others throughout the country.

“Get up and move! This is what this is all about, so all around the country everybody is getting up and moving and we’re so excited everybody has to come out to celebrate,” said Kayla Gilmore, Executive Director at KMG Creations.
Those in attendance were asked to bring donation items for the Oktibbeha County Humane Society.
