Starkville Duo Arrested After Auto Burglary And Crash

STARKVILLE, Miss. (Press Release) – Officers with the Starkville Police Department were dispatched (Thursday) to take a report of an Auto Burglary occurring at Dollar General on Hwy 1-82 in Starkville, MS.

The victims were able to give a description of possible suspects. Officers later spotted the probable suspects and the suspect vehicle matching the description in the Walmart parking lot on Hwy 12.

Officers attempted to stop the vehicle by initiating blue lights but the suspect evaded law enforcement exiting the parking lot, losing control and striking a utility pole across the street in the 911 Shopping Center.

The driver, 25 year old Lemichael Niwan Reed from Starkville, MS was arrested and charged with “Failure to Stop Motor Vehicle when Officer Signals (Felony Fleeing) and Auto Burglary.

The second suspect, 25 year old Alexas Brooks Reed from Starkville, MS was apprehended in the Walmart parking lot and charged with Auto Burglary.

The suspects were in possession of property from an earlier reported Burglary on Hwy 25.
Bond will be set on the above charges at a future date.

Also, the following warrants were served on Lemichael Niwan Reed for Resisting Arrest (Bond $888.50), Disorderly Conduct/Failure to Obey (Bond $1,188.50), Violation of Probation (Bond $1,500.00), Malicious Mischief (Bond $500.00), Shop Lifting Bond ($500.00) and Open Container (Bond $588.50).
