Starkville Police Charge SED Employee with Embezzlement

STARKVILLE, Miss. (Press Release) — A city employee is out on bond after she turned herself into police.

The Starkville Police Department had been investigating a reoccurring embezzlement which took place at the Starkville Electric Department (SED).

SED employee Elizabeth Peacock turned herself into the Starkville Police Department today. She was arrested and charged with embezzlement.

Peacock was processed and released on a $5,000 bond. She will make her first Starkville Municipal Court appearance Nov. 3.
