Starkville Police Warn Of Mail Thefts

OKTIBBEHA CO., Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – Since early March, 2016 the Starkville Police Department has received numerous reports of individuals having their mail stolen from their mailboxes.

This has occurred primarily in the Sherwood Forest Area. Numerous checks have been stolen from mailboxes, altered, then cashed.

Please be mindful of items you place in your mailbox and contact the police department if you notice any suspicious activity.

The Starkville Police Department has contacted other agencies in reference to multiple incidents.
