Video: State Auditor Talks to Rotarians

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Mississippi’s state auditor talks public corruption at Monday’s Starkville Rotary Club meeting.

WCBI caught up with Stacey Pickering about the legislation he supports that impacts his office.

“I know we have an individual that is pushing for a bill that would for public corruption felons, it would restrict and claw back their state contributed retirement,” Pickering said. “You know they are not entitled. Right now we’ve got numerous individuals earning over one hundred thousand dollars a year that are plead felons, and there are some in prison still drawing state retirement.”

Monday’s meeting was held at the Starkville Country Club.
