Stolen Road Signs Discovered

FARMINGTON, Miss. (AP) – Police say they have recovered more than 40 stolen road signs.

The Daily Corinthian reports (http://bit.ly/11x5tgN ) they included railroad crossing signs, speed limit and stop signs, do not enter signs, county road markers, a sign warning motorists to look out for horse-and-buggies, a no dumping sign, a road construction barrel and others.

Deputy Police Chief Jerry Mayhall says the signs were confiscated Friday afternoon at a Farmington home.

Authorities did not identify the resident, but Mayhall says the investigation is continuing and charges may be filed.
