Sulligent Officers Under Investigation

SULLIGENT, Ala. (WCBI)- Two police officers are under investigation for their alleged role in an off-duty drunken brawl in Marion County.

Mayor Scott Bowman and Police Chief Willis Stanford both confirmed the investigation but would not discuss details.

The Chief said the matter was being kept “low key” until the investigation is complete.

Sources tell WCBI Officers Dillon Miller and Scott Sorrells were off duty at a party near the Brilliant community, when they got involved in the fight.

The sources say the officers had weapons taken away from them but later returned.
