Suspect Named in the Assault of Ole Miss Senior

TEXAS, Miss. – (WCBI) Texas police file charges against a man they say attacked an Ole Miss student this fall.

According to reports from the Austin Statesman, Joshua Medina Ramirez, 25, has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with the near beating death of Ole Miss student Carson Otter.

Published reports also indicate that an argument between Otter and Ramirez back in September spurred the incident. Otter suffered extensive brain injuries after his head hit a nearby curb.

Otter, a college senior, was in Texas for the Longhorn and Rebel football game.

An arrest warrant has been issued. No word if Texas have indeed caught up with Ramirez.
