Suspected Jamestown Apartment Shooter Turns Himself In

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)-The search for a person of interest that allegedly shot a 16 year-old last week is over.

24 year-old Cordell Lewis turned himself in this afternoon.

Columbus Police believe Lewis is responsible for last Wednesday nights shooting at the Jamestown Apartments.

Officers say when they arrived at the 400 block of Forrest Boulevard they found a juvenile wounded in the upper leg.

Police believe the victim may have been mistaken as someone else.

Lewis’ bond is set at $5,000.
