COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – For Christians across the globe, Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Tuesday night, some Columbus singers lifted their voices for the real reason for the season. The 11th annual production of “The Messiah” was presented at Annuciation Catholic Church.

Handel’s composition has been performed for centuries, after it was composed in 1741.

It depicts the incarnation, passion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
