Third Man Charged In West Point Murder

West Point, MS, : West Point Police has announced that a third arrest has been made in the Point Place murder case. On yesterday West Point investigators took 18 year old Javaris Williams of 181 Pecan Acres, Starkville into custody. After the warrant was issued he surrendered himself to police in West Point without incident.

According to Chief Tim Brinkley, “Mr. Hodges became a person of interest shortly after the murder of 19 year old Chadrick Strong in a West Point apartment complex over a week ago. As the investigation became more intense it led to more questions and the possible involvement of others who may have played a role in the crime.” Police declined to elaborate of the exact nature of his involvement but did say that there is compelling evidence which led to the arrest.

Mr. Williams has been charged with Accessory to Capital Murder. Bond was set at $500,000 which is consistent with the bond amounts of the other suspects previously arrested in connection with this case. He is currently being held in the Clay County Detention Center.
