Three Arrested For Helping Wanted Felon Evade Police

LEE CO., Miss. (WCBI) – Three are behind bars for suspicion of helping a wanted felon run from police.

On April 29th, deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Department responded to a possible sighting of wanted felon, Victor Parker. After some investigation, three people were arrested for helping Parker evade law enforcement.

Parker’s wife, Shauna Parker, his mother-in-law, Martha Jean Stewart, and his brother-in-law Jamie L. McCollum  are all charged with one count of hindering prosecution and rendering criminal assistance.

All three suspects, in addition to others, have allegedly helped Parker elude capture and arrest for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Parker is accused of shooting a man last year.

Lee County Sheriff’s Department thinks more arrests will be made in this investigation.
