Meth, Stabbing, Dilaudid Arrests Made in Prentiss

PRENTISS COUNTY, Miss. — A search of a Booneville area home lands three people in jail on meth-related charges.

Prentiss County Sheriff Randy Tolar says Evan Cox, 26, Kenny Turner III, 25, and Walker Reynolds, 25, all of Booneville were charged after narcotics officers and deputies served a search warrant Friday at 134 County Road 7131 in Booneville.

Tolar says investigators discovered a meth lab during the search and charged the three. Cox is charged with manufacturing meth, Turner with conspiracy to manufacture meth and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and Reynolds with manufacturing meth and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Two firearms were recovered from the residence, one of which was determined to have been stolen from Tennessee.

Reynolds and Turner both have holds on them either by MDOC or Drug Court.

Holmes

Reynolds was also charged with two counts of simple possession assault on an officer. Bond on the weapons and assault charge was set at $50,000 and $5,000 on the drug charge.  But MDOC has a hold on him.

In an unrelated case, Jacob Lee Holmes, 26, of Booneville was charged Wednesday with one county of aggravated assault stemming from a stabbing at 19 County Road 5005 in Booneville. The victim suffered a single stab wound to the neck. He was transported to North Mississippi Medical Center where he remains.

Holmes was released on a $25,000 bond the following day.

Lambert

On Dec. 27, Marty Lambert, 43, of North Road in Booneville was charged with conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance after investigators found 93 doses of Dilaudid (Hydromorphone) and $1,900 in his home. His bond was set at $20,000.
