Video: Three Charged with Heroin Possession in Union Co.

UNION COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Three North Mississippians are facing heroin charges after a weekend traffic stop.

Pontotoc residents Ashley Stewart and John Montgomery, plus New Albany resident Brandy Scott, were all charged with possession of heroin.

Montgomery was also charged with driving under the influence.

Union County Sheriff Jimmy Edwards says deputies stopped the trio on County Road 515 for careless driving Sunday afternoon.

Edwards says they had more than a gram of heroin, worth between $300 to $400.

Stewart and Montgomery were already on probation.

All three each have $30,000 bonds.
