COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)– Whether you are wanting to build a snow man or you’re more the cold never bothered me anyway type, the probability of temperatures being frozen on Wednesday are going up.

A rare occasion for folks in north Mississippi, in fact you would have to travel back two years to see snow accumulations.

But with snow chances up,  the number one past time is talk of town… sledding.

“These kids, they want to get out on the sled and slide in the snow,” said Brad Parkerson.

However, finding a sled may have lower odds than seeing snow.

After visiting several local hardware stores, WCBI came to the grand total, of one sled in the Golden Triangle.

Luckily, a few household items may do the trick.

“You could use a trash can lid, also too I’ve done it before. Take the tub off a wheel barrel and use the wheel barrel tub,” said Parkerson.

Provided you have enough snow and a smooth item to ride on, you are well on your way to creating lasting memories.

“That was the most fun we’d ever had,” recalls Parkerson.
