STARKVILLE, Miss. – (WCBI) Soups, Entrees and Desserts never tasted so sweet in Starkville.

According to Jennifer Gregory with the Greater Starkville Development Partnership, more than 16,000 ballots were counted in this year’s Starkville Restaurant Week.

Diners cast their votes for their favorite charity.

The list included the T.K Martin Center, Homeward Bound, and the Starkville Pregnancy Care Center.

The $5,000 donation, courtesy of Cadence Bank, went to the TK Martin Center.

The center combines technology and tradition to help the disabled in their community.

“We go out into the community to provide service, and its time for a new vehicle, so its going toward our fund to purchase a new vehicle,” says TK Martin Center Director Janie Circlot-New.

Homeward Bound came in second while the Starkville Pregnancy Center came in 3rd.

Both received $500 donations.

The Good Eats, Do Good Award went to Starkville café for their high level of participation
