STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Kids in Starkville got the chance to jump in and explore some big trucks Saturday.
This year’s Touch-A-Truck event brought in more than 30 vehicles for kids to play on.

A fire truck, a garbage truck and a tractor are just a few things kids got to explore.

The event is a fundraiser for Volunteer Starkville, a non-profit organization that serves as the volunteer center for Oktibbeha County.

Organizers say it’s a fun day all for a great cause.

“Touch-A-Truck is a neat event because the kids can run around safely without worrying about them being in danger. Parents don’t pay to get in, it’s a very inexpensive event for families to come to, and boys and girls of all ages just love trucks and big vehicles,” said Volunteer Starkville Board President Barbara Coats.

Touch-A-Truck was held at the Starkville Sportsplex.

Admission was 5 dollars for kids and free for parents.
