BLUE SPRINGS, Miss. (WCBI) — Hundreds of volunteers with a North Mississippi car plant are giving back to their community.

On Saturday, team members with Toyota Motor Manufacturing Mississippi transformed a lot into a new park for National Public Lands Day.

Other volunteers with the plant also helped revitalize two parks in New Albany.

850 volunteers worked on the three projects, Saturday.

In recent years, Toyota team members helped spruce up a city park in Pontotoc, and built a home in Tupelo for Habitat for Humanity.
